I have had this and another unknown for years. I can divide it often and I do have a slug problem however. In the sun it gets quite big and faded. Does better in some shade. |

I THOUGHT I HAD ROYAL STANDARD, BUT MINE HAS LAVENDER PURPLE FLOWERS. VERY FAST GROWER, STARTS VASE SHAPED THEN MOUNDED. I COULD DIVIDE THIS EVERY YEAR AND IT WILL GROW BACK. TAKES FULL SUN, NO SLUG PROBS. ANY IDEAS WHAT THIS COULD BE WITH LAVENDER FLOWERS? |

A friend recently game this hosta. She had many of them in direct sun. They seem to be a rapid grower and can get large. Color is a unique shade of green. |

I have had this wonderful plant since 1976! It does VERY well in full sun, as a matter of fact, that's the only place I grow it now. It's an oldie but a goodie, definitely a true classic, & should be in every hosta growers garden. If you don't have it.....GET IT! A very rapid grower, no slug problems, & very fragrant, big white blooms in August. I can't tell you how many people I've given this to over the years. Everyone that sees it loves it! |

Don't be put off because this one is an old variety. It's been growing in a semi-shaded area in my yard for about 10 years and gets more attractive with each passing year. The flowers smell great, too! |
